French Connection 'Spring Ribbon' bandage minidress in bangkok blue (@Nordstrom)
(edited 110211 - French Connection has renamed this style and it is now called the "Spotlight" knit dress, available in teal, deep purple, black, and a brighter purple)

This color just pops in real life, it's a gorgeous jewel-tone blue and will be fabulous with gold accessory - the perfect amount of sass for Vegas. I remember trying on French Connection's bandage dresses before during the holiday season when I was shopping for a dress for my boyfriend's holiday party and I'm glad the sizing hasn't changed. I went with the size 0 and it was a breeze to put on but taking it off is another story. There are no zippers, buttons, or anything to help facilitate the removal of this dress so it's a workout taking it off! Ah the price I pay for form-fitting.
In my opinion, this is a pretty good substitute for the Herve Leger bandage dresses. The material is nice and thick (though a touch thinner than my HL bow dress), the body-shaping aspect is there, and it's still a nice classic style. For $168 this is an affordable go-to dress when you're saving for that perfect HL.
Leifsdottir Esplanade Halter Top and BCBG Black 'Power' Bandage Skirt

Later on, I will write a post about the 'power' of this BCBG skirt (I can see why they named it the power skirt) which can be worn with practically anything! This outfit is less flashy than the above but that's fine since this is intended for a romantic night-out with the boyfriend watching one of the Cirque Du Soleil shows and having a nice dinner somewhere.
I've seen Leifsdottir at my local Bloomingdale's for awhile now and didn't really pay much attention until I saw this top. The top just looked so delicate and feminine on the hanger that I had to grab it and try it on. I love the silk bow-tie and the little gold buttons on the blouse, simple details like that definitely make this top. This top is actually pretty long (with buttons that go all the way down on the front) so tucking it into the body-hugging skirt might be a problem but I managed to smooth it out as best I can for the pictures. Hopefully I can mimic this in Vegas because I don't want to end up looking like a sausage!
We're staying 4 nights in Vegas so within the next month and a half I will have to figure out two more outfits. Stay tuned to see if I conjure anything else up. What do you like to wear during the evening outings in Vegas?
