FIFTY SHADES / Of grey! Faux fur vest and grey dress

My face is turning red as I reveal this but I have to share a guilty pleasure I had a few months ago.  As the post title alluded to, I read the Fifty Shades series.  All three books... in less than 4 days... during the work week.  Yup, bright crimson now.  It was good mindless reading to distract me from experimental reports and journal articles and thankfully I didn't incorporate anything from the books into my presentations.

I just had to bring that up because I was thinking of a post title and what better title than one from best-seller lists =D  Although there's probably only, at most, five shades of grey in my outfit.

I have a feeling that this faux fur vest will become a closet staple this winter.  The faux fur is incredibly soft which makes for good petting material (I am fond of petting my clothes as evident by the petting of the sleeves of the jacket in this post), it is reversible to a plain grey lined with faux fur, and it has a hood!!  I love reversible items, it's like a two-for-one!

One of the nice perks about a big family, besides the endless love, is that you get pretty awesome hand-me-downs.  This belt was my super hip aunt's and she gave it to me because it doesn't fit her anymore, she even got holes punched in it to better fit me.  Way awesome of her, thanks Auntie!!

The shadow you see in the picture above is my mommy's.  She is the photographer for my blog and I am so lucky to have such a patient, loving, and supportive momma working along with me on this blog.  It's true when they say there's nothing comparable to a mother's love.  Hope your week started off well and you had a good Monday.  Just remember that the hardest day of the week is over and the rest are a breeze when compared to Mondays.  Take care!
