GETTING THE “FLARE” OF IT: Bootcut jeans and ending the Prabal for Target streak

Times have changed and skinnies have become THE denim silhouette.  I am not complaining as I love a good pair of skinnies in any material, color, and print but I also love a good pair of bootcut jeans.  This classic [bootcut] style was the norm before skinnies took over and I still have a handful of pairs in my closet.  By handful I mean a shelf of bootcuts in all different washes (but still BLUE!) and some with exorbitant pockets (hello crystals, skulls, and not-so-subtle branding across both pockets); I can’t be the only one who had this obsession right?  Since bootcuts are hemmed almost to the floor, there’s a leg-lengthening aspect to them that I really appreciate.

I am ending my Prabal Gurung for Target streak with the same print that I started with – the First Date print.  This time the print is on a sweatshirt reminiscent of gym class during the middle school days except I only wished that we had such chic sweatshirts for gym because maybe that would’ve made that class more bearable.   The bootcut jeans complement the sweatshirt as both give off a laid-back and casual vibe.

If you have been on the hunt for this sweatshirt and you’re curious about sizing I found that the sweatshirt runs TTS but it is a bit short in length.  If I had known, I would’ve sized up just so I could get the extra inches on the bottom.  Otherwise the sweatshirt is comfortable (as sweatshirts are meant to be) and the print is bold and fun!
Prabal Gurung for Target sweatshirt / 7 for all Mankind jeans (very old but similar with Dojo pocketssimilar with signature pocket) /
Kensie Girl wedge sandals (some sizes as low as $22.99! last worn here) / Kate Spade bangles (similar) /
Goldenbleu clutch (similar from Saint Laurent, and a simple pouch version)

Happy hump day everyone!  I would be lying if I say that I wasn’t glad the week is half over as it has already been a long one.  I am hoping the next few days come and go without a hitch and that the weekend will be here before I know.  Hopefully you’re having a way better week than I am (anything exciting/happy to share to perk up mine?), take care!
