Hi, hi! Is everyone having a good week so far? It has been quite a busy week so far at work and it's only going to get busier as my family and I prep for Lunar New Year festivities this weekend. If you celebrate Lunar New Year, what are some traditions that you and your family have? I am looking forward to the big New Year Eve dinner where the entire family gets together!
Before I dive into a few days of red outfits, I wanted to do a simple black and beige combo with my favorite cheetah dress (one of the first dresses I wore when I started blogging again).
This blazer, which is very signature Helmut Lang with its asymmetrical cut, not only broke up the pattern of the dress but it also aided in giving an illusion of a hourglass figure. Combined with the magical shaping powers of this dress, the sharp V-neck of the blazer and the pointed front narrowed my waist and widened my hips. Looking at the first picture, the blazer breaks up the top half of the dress in such a way that a cheetah hourglass is formed!
J Crew belt (drool-worthy splurge here) / Laundry by Shelli Segal wedges (old but love these and similar patterned wedges here)
Happy soon-to-be Hump Day! Speaking of Hump Day, I was just reminded of this inspiring quote: When doing any task, have the innocence of a child, the endurance of a camel, and the courage of a lion - Master Cheng Yen (Jing Si Aphorisms). And with that, take care everyone!
