I hope you had a lovely weekend! If you are in Northern California, were you surprised by the rainstorm we got Saturday morning? I couldn't believe how hard it was coming down. The rain and wind from that morning brought down a few branches of our neighbor's tree and we looked out to see the floor glittered with fuchsia blossoms, pretty yet quite messy. Riding on the talk of blossoms, I always thought this floral print blazer was more of a fall piece due to the darker color palette of the pattern and was surprised it was a s/s '13 item. However I did manage to work it into my spring/summer wardrobe by wearing it with white denim and blush and then with bright bold orange and now I am transitioning it into my fall wardrobe.
Did anyone shop the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection that was released on Sunday? Thanks to my dear friend Kim who alerted me of the release online, we virtually shopped together and picked up a couple of the handbags as well as a few pieces of clothing. I stayed up so late/early checking out the collection online that I couldn't even get myself out of bed in the morning to actually see the collection in stores. We're both on our toes to see if we have another Missoni debacle on our hands (er feet?). If you shopped the collection either online or in person I am curious and would love to hear your thoughts!
I am a day late, as I tend to be, but I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Take care and have a good day.
I know I'm not the only one who always, and I mean always, has food on her mind, right? As a kid whenever my parents took my sister and I to Baskin Robbins it was always a coin toss between jamocha almond fudge or rainbow sherbet. Rainbow sherbet if I was in the mood for something tart and jamocha almond fudge to give me that little taste of coffee at a young age. When I was putting together this outfit I immediately thought of the colors in rainbow sherbet (as oppose to the colors of a beautiful desert sunset) and got a strong yearning for that one scoop of childhood delight. This outfit will have to fill that void until this weekend when I may just pop into Baskin Robbins to get not one but both flavors!
Hello hello and TGIF! A quick entry as I finish up at work and then head out to get my weekend started. These pictures were taken by Alex and I think we discovered his forte for location scouting. During our stroll around Berkeley with my sister there was a lot of "hey cous, how about here... here... here..." and they were all darling little spots I would've loved to take pictures at. This is just a couple of the locations. It's too bad he is leaving on Sunday because I'm going to miss having another perspective when we're out on blog shoots. But hey, if you're a blogger in Calgary, keep him in mind! He doesn't know I'm offering his services quite yet but he will when he sees this. Thank you cous for the pictures!!
Did you have a good Labor Day weekend? I woke up to my alarm this morning thinking (and hoping) it was Monday but alas, had to scramble out of bed and get ready for work. I had a nice long weekend with my sister and my cousin eating, exploring, and jumping to the beat. What did you guys do?
This outfit is made possible with some input and behind-the-scenes from my cousin. I initially had this as an all-blue outfit with a navy patent bag but my cousin wanted me to try it with something red. It worked out for the best because the red purse pops against the blue canvas; he does have a keen eye for bright colored accessories! Alex also aided in this blogshoot (coming up next... blog photos that cous himself took) and chose the pictures for the entry. I am tempted to share some of the goofy pictures we took but unfortunately he is shy.
