TGIF! On the way to Florence from Venice we took a day trip to Bologna to explore the city with the city with the world's oldest (continuously operating) university. We logged another 10 miles exploring this college city and spent a good amount of the time looking up and admiring the porticos. In my opinion one of the best ways to see a city is to get a bird's eye view of the city and that means climbing up to a high point. In Bologna I believe the highest point would be the top of the Torre Asinelli and if you can stomach the windy wooden stairs that look like any amount of weight may crack them, it is definitely worth it to climb up. Afterwards you can reward yourself with spaghetti bolognese.

I hope you enjoy your weekend! If you are interested I have included a few pictures of some of the sights around Bologna. One of the attractions (if you can call it that) that I was most excited to see was the Teatro Anatomical, it won't be hard to spot that amongst the pictures :) Thank you for letting me share!
