With warmer weather quickly approaching it was only appropriate to break out the open-toe sandals and bright white dress. I wore this dress a couple months ago but it was practically hidden underneath the trench. And now it is back out again but this time halfway hidden with the tank. Oops! I promise there is nothing wrong with the dress, I just haven't found an occasion to wear an all-white dress on its own.

Aside from the blog pictures on Roman streets, in front of St. Peter's Basilica, and in Ostia Antica (if that counts), I never got a chance to post any pictures of Rome from my first trip. I thought for this entry I would share some of the main sites in Rome. You know the sites that you read about in history books, the ones that are brought up in conversation, that one scene from a movie, those bucket list places that you just have to see in person, etc.. I most likely missed a couple sites but see if you can identify these landmarks. If there's any questions or anything, I am always happy to help.

Proenza Schouler PS1 medium in midnight (cheapest here and tax-free to US)
We spent the second day truly taking in the beautiful city of Florence by climbing up Giotto's Bell Tower, Brunelleschi's Dome (the cupola of II Duomo di Firenze), and hiking up to Piazzale Michaelangelo to catch panoramic views of Firenze throughout the day. That is a whole lot of steps in 12 hours! It was all worth it though because we were able to capture shots that I've only dreamed of. And if I may I would like to share some of those captures with you.

Happy Thursday! Who says sneakers can't be fashionable (while still screaming total tourist)? If I thought sneakers with a dress was way out of my comfort zone, I went to the moon wearing it with a skirt AND tights. I'm not going to lie, I thought it looked a bit strange but I took some fashion advice from my sister who preferred it over the black flats. I did pack this sweater knowing I would wear it with the sneakers because of the complementary color pairing (and I sure do love this color pairing - an outfit from the early start of the blog and one that is more recent) between the bright green of the sweater and pink lining of the shoes but in my head I pictured it with jeans. Fashion is all about risks though and I must say I like the sneakers with the quirky polka dot and the bright sweater!
