Hi all! Did you have a nice weekend? As always I stuffed myself silly this weekend and had Korean BBQ all-you-can-eat with my friend Shahab. We sat, chatted, and ate for 3 hours. That is what weekends should be all about =). Hope you had a great weekend as well!
Going back about a month or two back, even before Shane and I have settled on anything, I found my dress for the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner! This was one of the contenders but after some thinking it fell out of the running because I felt it was a touch too casual. The soft details of this dress such as the crochet trim on the sleeves and hem and the keyhole back makes this more suitable as a crisp summer white dress and pairs perfectly with a denim jacket.
A very happy belated Independence Day to you all (and Canada Day as well!). I hope you had a good holiday and a great start to the week, though the Monday back after a 3-day weekend is always a tough one but hey it's Tuesday and you survived! I spent the weekend in Reno with Shane and his family where we attended The Biggest Little City Wing Fest and gambled the weekend away (while I munched on roasted corn and sipped daiquiris, what a combo).
Carrying over some of the patriotic spirit from the weekend with my nails still done, I donned a little red, white, and blue on Monday for work and to celebrate Ed's birthday later in the evening. The flirty trumpet hem swished and swooshed with every step I took and I felt extremely girly in this playful silhouette. There is a lot going on with the floral print, the stripes, and the pattern blocking between the body of the dress and the hem so I used black to pull everything together.
